Apurva Udeshi

Apurva earned his undergraduate degree in Computing from Imperial College, London where he graduated with First Class (Hons) placing him in the Top 10% of his Class.
He was also awarded the Department of Computing Project Prize (Distinguished Status) for the best Individual Project in the BEng Computing course. Apurva was then nominated to represent Imperial at the British Science, Engineering and Technology (SET) Student of the Year Award (UK’s most prestigious awards for Science, Engineering and Technology undergraduates) and invited back to publish a paper in the area of Performance Modelling.
As a result of the Individual Project Prize, he was invited back to do his PhD in Performance Modelling of Queuing Theory. However, the capitalist bug bit him and he set out to work in banking in the City of London
Apurva is the Founder & Managing Director of Argent Capital, Founder of Zeptolytics, Co-Founder of Avantrio, Founding Board Member of the Lankan Angel Network & Director of HSenid Business Solutions.
Argent Capital is a sector agnostic structured fund that invests across Private Equity, Listed Equity, Fixed Income Trading, Real Estate and Startups that he setup in 2011.
Two years ago, he founded an analytics company called Zeptolytics – a technology startup focused on Self-Service Data Analytics & AI. Its flagship product Zepto (www.zepto.io) is the simplest business intelligence tool (with Artificial Intelligence) for small & medium businesses.
In 2019, he co-founded Avantrio, a software services dev studio that specializes in designing, prototyping, building and integrating high tech platforms and software solutions. Avantrio focuses solely on solutions using AI / Machine Learning, Data Mining, Information Retrieval and Blockchain and has customers globally, based predominantly in North America & Europe.
