Evelyn Lakshmi Sharma is an Indian-German actress, philanthropist and wellness advocate. She marked her film debut at the age of 17 with the Hollywood film “Turn Left” and celebrated her break through in Bollywood with Ayan Mukerji’s 2013 blockbuster “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani” (YJHD) opposite Ranbir Kapoor, produced by Karan Johar.
Evelyn felt the strong urge to give back to the society by starting her own charity foundation Seams For Dreams (SFD) in 2015, that supplies clothing to the less privileged from Mumbai across the country. Completing two successful years and around 100 outreach efforts already, Evelyn has not only proved to have excellent leadership and business knowledge, but has also been able to draw in the attention of the Indian film and fashion industry. SFD emerged as the favored place to discard used clothing of the rich and famous and with it’s high profile supporters sees glamorous events each year to raise funds in support of its social development projects. Evelyn has been honored with many awards, such as the “Pride Of India” in 2017, named “Youth Ambassador” for Habitat For Humanity – India and was invited to speak at countless public events, including “The 65th National Prayer Breakfast” hosted by The Congress and The President of The United States Of America before more than 3000 international dignitaries
